STRIVING  TOWARDS  ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE

the Diocese of Kansas City ~ St. Joseph

Academically Excellent

Catholic schools provide comprehensive programs.  As lifelong learners, nearly half of our teachers hold advanced degrees. Extraordinary teachers provide extraordinary education and prepare students for next level success.

An academically excellent school arms children to succeed and live authentically in today’s world.

Catholic schools:
  • challenge each child to succeed
  • provide each student with skills to be productive
  • build communities of learners dedicated to excellence
  • The Diocese of Kansas City ~ St Joseph measures student academic performance by annually reviewing results of the IA Test in grades 4, 6, and 8 at the elementary level.

In high schools the ACT test results are analyzed at the appropriate levels.

Early Childhood Centers use environmental rating scales to look at performance and goal setting. The Infant/Toddler Environment Rating Scale (ITERS-R) and the Early Childhood Environment Rating Scale (ECERS-R) are used by all programs with young children.
