All Saint Day Celebration
The Bishop Hogan students joyfully celebrated All Saints’ Day by dressing up as their favorite saints! The day was filled with faith, fun, and learning as students shared stories about the holy men and women who inspire them to follow God more closely.
This celebration is a wonderful reminder that we are all called to holiness — to let our light shine and live as modern-day saints in our world today.

Grandparents Day Celebrations
Our Catholic schools joyfully celebrated Grandparents Day, honoring the love, faith, and wisdom our grandparents bring into the lives of our students. This special day was filled with prayer, laughter, and cherished moments as families gathered together in gratitude.
Through Mass, classroom visits, and time shared with loved ones, our students were reminded of the shining example grandparents give as they live out their faith each day. Truly, their light continues to inspire our children to grow in faith, hope, and love.

May Crowning
May Crowning is a cherished Catholic tradition that honors Mary, our Mother, during the month of May by placing a crown of flowers on her statue. This beautiful devotional ceremony is a favorite at many of our Diocesan schools. The May Crowning provides children with a special opportunity to honor the Blessed Mother of Jesus and to express their gratitude for her role in bringing our Savior into the world.

High Five
Who can resist the infectious joy of a high five?
It's a simple yet delightful gesture that fosters connection and spreads happiness, especially as the new week unfolds on a Monday morning. The lively slap of palms can instantly uplift spirits, setting a positive tone for the days ahead. What a fantastic way to kick off the week with enthusiasm and camaraderie!
Thanks Bishop LeBlond High School for creating memories!

Living Stations of the Cross
Fifth-grade students at St. Therese passionately reenacted the "Living Stations of the Cross," transforming the hall into a moving portrayal of Jesus' final journey. Each of the 14 stations, filled with heartfelt emotion, commemorates His passion and death, allowing students to immerse themselves in the profound significance of these sacred events.
Check with your local parish for specific dates and times to pray the Stations of the Cross within your community.
Life Cycle of Plants
Students at Holy Rosary, in Clinton, learn about the life cycle of a plant by exploring its stages, from seed germination to growth, flowering, pollination, and seed dispersal. Through hands-on activities and observations, they understand how plants reproduce and contribute to the environment.
Hands-on learning is a joyful experience! Look at those adorable smiles!
Preparing for Lent
Next Wednesday marks Ash Wednesday, a time for reflection and renewal. The students at Nativity of Mary gathered to honor the Burning of the Palms, embracing the spirit of commitment as they prepare for Lent.
How are you preparing for this meaningful journey?

March for Life
The March for Life was a vibrant and impactful gathering in the heart of Washington, D.C., where pro-life advocates came together to stand for the sanctity of life. This inspiring event served as a powerful reminder of the importance of advocating for the unborn. Let us keep the unborn in our prayers as we strive to champion their cause.

Crazy for Kindness
St. Thomas More had an amazing week celebrating "Peace, Love, and Kindness"! Throughout the week, everyone made kindness a top priority, showing how important it is in our daily lives. Activities like "work out your problems with kindness", "peace, love, and kindness", "crazy for kindness", and even a pep rally really brought out the spirit of kindness and compassion!
Great job, St. Thomas More!
"Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you." ~ Ephesians 4:32

Honor Flight Tradition
The 7th and 8th graders at St. Therese School went to the KCI airport to welcome home veterans from the Honor Flight. This tradition was started by Mr. Freund, a retired St. Therese Social Studies teacher and it continues with the current Social Studies teacher, Mr. Haugen. Both teachers were Guardians for the Honor Flight. Thank you, gentlemen, for instilling in our students' patriotism and appreciation for the men and women that have served this great country.
Pinwheel Garden Planted
April is Child Abuse Prevention Month. The United States Bishops and Diocese of Kansas City ~ St. Joseph is dedicated to the protection and healing of children by creating the charter to protect children and young people. The 7th graders at Nativity of Mary, in Independence, helped "plant" the garden to remind us to pray for the end of child abuse.
Youth Witness
St. Michael the Archangel High School Cross Country teammates: David, Xavier, Oliver, Sam and Johnny.
Ever since I’ve had the pleasure to meet and get to know Johnny, I’ve never seen him in a bad mood; he is always so positive and joyful. Getting to be not only his teammate but his friend for three years now has been amazing partly because of all I have learned from him. I have learned that just a simple smile can do so much for a person, and how anything is possible when you work hard and put your faith in God.

Schools Helping Those in Need
Bishop LeBlond High School students and community members helped purchase gifts for dozens of children and families on the Pine Ridge Reservation. Student elves wrapped and loaded the Christmas gifts on the sleigh and sent them on their way!
The 5th graders at Our Lady of the Presentation School have been busy spreading Christmas cheer. The shared the joy of the season by caroling for the residents of John Knox Village and the Little Sisters of the Poor. The students also greeted fellow students the last day of school before Christmas break with festive singing. Thank you, 5th graders, for sharing your musical talents.
One of St. Regis Academy's favorite Christmas tradition is collecting gifts for the residents at the Little Sisters of the Poor. Every year the families of St. Regis send in donations to ensure every resident receives a heartfelt gift. Then the 8th graders have the privilege of bringing Christmas cheer to them. The smiles, hugs, and stories shared were priceless!
