Dr. Karen Kroh sUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS Diocese of Kansas City ~ St. Joseph ph: (816) 714-2344 |
Welcome to the Diocese of Kansas City – St. Joseph Catholic School website. I am blessed to serve as the Superintendent of Schools in our diocese. Thank you for taking time to explore Catholic education and the positive impact it can have on your child’s future.
Catholic schools are a ministry of the Church which allow our parishes and schools in the Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph to assist you as the primary educators of your children. The gift of Catholic education offers the opportunity to help form your child both spiritually and academically for today’s world and for eternity. Our schools provide a faith-filled environment and a rigorous academic curriculum for all students. All 26 of our Catholic schools are accredited by the Missouri Nonpublic School Accrediting Association (MNSAA) to ensure academic achievement and best practices are in place to support student learning and academic growth. While approximately 80% our students are Catholic, our doors are open to families seeking a faith-filled, academically rigorous and safe educational option for their child(ren). There is a lot to celebrate in our schools! Catholic schools in the Diocese of Kansas City – St. Joseph are positively impacting more than 9,000 students every day. Each year our students provide more than 35,500 hours of service to their community. 26% of our elementary school students qualified for the Duke Talent Identification Program in the 2020-21 school year. The graduation rate for our high schools is 100% with approximately 96% of graduates bound for college. If your child(ren) are already enrolled in Catholic schools, thank you so much for trusting us with your most precious gift(s) from God! If you are exploring Catholic schools, welcome! I would invite you to delve into our website or give me a call at 816-714-2344. It would be an honor to discuss the good news about Catholic education with you and your family. We live in very complicated times; I believe there is no greater gift we can give our children than a firm foundation in their faith and developing their intellect, so they become seekers of truth in our world. These gifts will help our students to navigate our world now and forever. May God bless you! Karen Kroh, Ed.D. |
