Inclusive Education
Our Catholic schools and Early Childhood Centers recognize that children have different learning styles and needs. Through responsible inclusion, our schools strive to meet these needs. Our mission is to provide an appropriate learning environment for every student.
Before admitting a student, schools must obtain complete information from the student’s parents and from all prior schools. Schools must not only find a feasible way to meet the student’s needs but also to maintain standards for all students and staff. If there is an IEP or Service Plan in place, the parent must inform the school and provide a copy to the school.
Our principals and directors will work with the local public school district to ensure that students receive publicly-funded services provided by law. Throughout the process, the Diocesan Coordinator of Inclusive Education should be consulted for additional support and for information about resources available in the community.
