RESPONSE NEEDED

Important Information for March 12th
Lynne Lang from Restoration Matters, will once again be providing training in restorative practices on Thursday, March 12th. This day will be dedicated to instructing schools in facilitating successful circles. Expect to see chairs in circles as we did in August, divided among three training spaces. Your school staff will experience a variety of circle processes, advanced from our initial circle training. You will learn how to set norms, plan and implement solution circles, address classroom issues, facilitate activities, subject content, and fishbowl circles.  The following link contains: principal letter with agenda, circle planner, copies of a few circle activities, and information for ordering additional resources and attending Summer Institute.

Two things you need to do:

1. By Friday, March 7, make sure you and your staff have all circle resources uploaded and make sure each staff member has a hard copy to bring with them to the training on Thursday.  Hard copies WILL BE NEEDED as there WILL NOT be wifi access to anyone but the presenters.
2. Invite pastors (to lunch?) Friday, March 13th. If pastors come, Lynne can discuss policy/practices.  Let Kerry know no later than Monday, March 9th if your pastor will attend so she can adjust the lunch count.
3.  Make sure your staff knows where they will need to be for the training.  You can find the room assignments here.

Calendar Update ~ Immediate Attention Needed
Please get your 2020-21 Proposed Calendars back to LeAnn by March 6th. LeAnn will be out of the office on medical leave March 13-April 6. If you do not have your proposed calendar to LeAnn by March 6th you will not get it back until after Easter!!  Your schools 2020-21 Proposed School Calendar file has been placed in your school Google folder. It is Labeled “School Name Proposed Calendar 2020-21”. Once you have it ready to go email LeAnn and let her know so that it can be approved.

Intruder Training Survey ~ 2nd Notice

Please complete the attached survey regarding the name of vendors/police that have provided training for intruders to your building.

ADMINISTRATIVE

Teacher Contracts

Attached are the part time and full time 2020-21 teacher contracts. You can use them at anytime, however, the recommended salary increase and the updated teacher salary ranges won’t be available until March 15, 2020. These two items are part of the Annual Parish Budget Packet that is issued from the diocesan business office and HR each year. The new salary ranges could impact what a new teacher is being paid or a teacher at the top of the salary range. You should wait to issue contracts until your parish receives this packet so that you pay teachers according to the salary range.

ACRE Results ~ 2nd Notice
You may go to www.nceaifg.com to get your ACRE results

December 8, 2020 ~ 2nd Notice

Both HR and the Bishop will allow schools to be open on December 8 from now on. Many principals have asked to have school on this day so students would go to Mass. Our present practice has been to close schools as it has been considered a diocesan holiday. So, please count December 8, 2020 on your 2020-21 calendar as an instructional day.
